Fishes of Texas

A Virtual Museum on the State's Fish Biodiversity

Welcome to Fishes of Texas

Welcome to the Scratchpads site for the Fishes of Texas Project, created to compile and maintain a comprehensive and high quality museum specimen-based database of occurrences of fishes from all river basins that include parts of the state of Texas, and to make that data and other information relevant to fishes and aquatic habitats available to researchers, resource managers and other interested individuals.

This Scratchpds site is under development as a separate component of, and complementary to, the overall Fishes of Texas Project website, primarily to help facilitate provision of new content by a broad community of collaborators and to improve our ability to serve that content to the world.

All Fishes of Texas Project content is licensed as indicated below, but with some restrictions (see Fishes of Texas Project).
